5 Ways to Celebrate Halloween That Isn’t All Candy

“Spooky, scary skeletons
Send shivers down your spine”

Spooky season is officially upon us, and with it comes cooler weather, sweet treats, and many traditional fall activities. Much as we all love indulging in delicious foods, sometimes an alternative activity can be just as fun though!

Here’s some spooktacular things to do that isn’t just eating candy:

  1. Carve pumpkins — freehand a style or use some free printable stencils online:

  2. Hold a Halloween movie night! Host it at your place, or use the “watch together” features streaming services started offering. Watch some old classics like family-friendly  “Hocus Pocus” or creepy “Friday the 13th” orrr check out “Hocus Pocus 2” that was just released this weekend on Disney+!

  3. Save some money and have a fun time creating your own unique costume! It’s a dual purpose activity. You’ll definitely have a one-of-a-kind outfit for whatever activities you’re doing, and you’ll have a good time putting your own spin and customized details for your costume! Pockets, anyone??

  4. Visit a one-way, open-air haunted forest or corn maze, or other themed events! If you’re in the greater Vancouver area, one attraction that looks promising is:

  5. Decorate your place with Halloween decor — don’t forget the bathroom! Try a seasonally creepy shower curtain:

And don’t forget to add some spooky soap:

Seal your doom tonight…”

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not anti-candy at all! But isn’t it nice to have something to do in between eating activities?

But no matter what you end up doing… be safe, have fun… and keep an eye out over your shoulder for zombies or vampires on All Hallow’s Eve!
